52SK Series sandy loam-clay
Introduction:
In the development of the last generation spading machines Imants BV has introduced a completely new concept for heavy clay and loamy soils. This takes into account the latest trends in the demand for products. Imants spading machines are particularly valued for their faultless, homogeneous spading, their excellent soil mixing action and their high capacity. “Reducing the cost price per hectare while maintaining the good characteristics of the original Imants spading machines” was the Imants goal. And this goal has been more than achieved.
Concept:
The machines are equipped with a shaft to which the spade arms are attached (called the spade shaft). Mounted in the same frame is a crumbler roller. This crumbler roller with its self-cleaning blades rotovates, if necessary, the surface layer to produce the seed bed necessary for good germination of the seed. It is possible to both adjust and switch off the crumbler roller, thus allowing the spading machine to carry out coarse "winter work" as well. Attached to the rear side is a packer-roller whose function is to set the working depth of the crumbler roller, to support the machine and to compact the loosened soil again. All Imants spading machines are PTO driven and are carried on the 3-point hitch. When work is started, the machine is lowered until the packer-roller is supporting the majority of the machine weight. The working depth is then set by means of the 3-point hitch. The top link is then in a floating position. Thanks to the unique function of the spades, no “plough pan” is produced and the tractor does not run in the furrow as is the case during ploughing. The result is an elimination of structural damage to the soil. Imants has introduced a new improvement by screening off the spade shaft and crumbler roller; this protection consists of a PE plate combined with rubber. The rubber moves, which prevents the soil from "sticking", and also has noise insulation properties. The Revolution can be equipped with a seeder so that all the operations can be carried out in a single pass. Attention was also paid during the development to the maintenance of the machines. The few grease nipples can be reached from outside the machine and the chains are tensioned by automatic chain tensioners.
Fields of application
Larger agricultural and horticultural businesses and agricultural service supply agencies. The spading machine is excellent for blending large quantities of organic materials such as green manure, straw, stable manure or compost into the soil.
Capacity:
Tilling with an Imants Revolution is cheaper than with a plough. Just compare your passes with those of the Revolution spading machine and you will reach a surprising conclusion. It is cheaper, more efficient and germination is better as a result. In other words, it saves money!
Since, for many companies, choosing between a plough and a spading machine is not easy, spading machines manufacturer Imants b.v. commissioned PPO-AGV to carry out an independent study into the capacity and fuel consumption involved in single-pass tilling and seeding compared to ploughing and seeding with a harrow.
Ploughing was done with a 7 blade reversible plough. A 6-metre wide rotor harrow was used for sowing. A rotating Imants spading machine with a working width of 3 metres did the spading. The study shows that spading and sowing with a spading machine results in a consistently lower (42%) fuel consumption than with a plough and harrow, while capacity is reliably higher (62%).
The 52 SK Series has a drive line suitable for tractors from 160 hp. A cam clutch protects the machines against overload.
Working widths vary, but the most popular machine is the 3 metre wide version. With the 3 metre wide 57 Series, a capacity of 1.5 hectare per hour can be achieved.
Imants have their own demo team with whom they regularly pass through the country, giving you the option to see for yourself the Revolution in action in your region. A visit to the factory established in 1885 where everything is produced in-house is also well worth your while.
